Three More Florida Stars Commit to Sand Volleyball Scholarships

Julie and Kayla commit to FSUJulie Brown and Kayla Joyce have been joined at the hip since they were toddlers.  Best friends for life the girls do everything together, including domiate as one of the best junior's beach volleyball teams in the country!

Both Julie and Kayla have been through their ups and downs and they vow to stay together through thick and thin.  They both had their hearts set on playing sand volleyball for FSU and that dream came true for both of them recently when they committed to play for the seminoles.

Residing in the Orlando area, the girls along with their families have been loyal members and supporters of Club Beach Dig for many years.  In the summer they practice with the CBD Olrando division two times per week and compete in tournaments all summer long.  In the 2011 Season they girls were on the podium every single time they competed, bringing home an array of silver and gold medals.   The duo even representing Team Florida at the USAV High Performance Championships in Hermosa California where they brought home another Silver medal.

Nina Pellitteri and Savanah DavisNina Pellitteri has some big shoes to fill as her sister Stephanie became the first player to sign a sand volleyball scholarship....ever!   It seems the talent runs deep in the Pellitteri family as it took Nina only a few months to follow in her big sister's footsteps by also committing to be a sand player for the seminoles.

Nina (on the left in this picture) and her partner Savannah Davis completely dominiated the Jr's Beach circuit in Florida this summer brining home the Gold in every tournament except one where they lost to fellow Beach Digger's Julie and Kayla in the final.  Nina's calm demeanor and "Kerri Walsh like" physique make her a natural on the beach.  Her and Savannah were also hand picked to represent Team Florida in California this summer where they brought home another Gold medal.  The Pellitteri talent doesn't stop with Nina either.  The third and youngest daughter Brittany, has the skill and the fire to keep the legacy going.   All 3 daughters have been long time members of Club Beach Dig in the Pompano area where they train with Top Beach Dig Coach and Pro Player Kendra VanZwieten.

Nina, Julie and Kayla make 7 total Beach Dig players who have committed or signed to scholarships for college sand volleyball.  All three girls are well deserving of this honor and we look forward to watching their continued success at the NCAA level.

Beach Dig is dedicated to helping young players reach their beach volleyball goals and dreams.  For more information on our college sand scout camps click here
