Cindy Phillips - BeachDig Founder and Head Coach
Coach Cindy is a recognized leader and pioneer in the beach volleyball community. She is a BCAP certified coach with over 14 years of sand coaching experience and is also still competing as a professional beach vollebyall player.
Her pro career boasts impressive accomplishments including three Dig The Beach National Championship titles, a Toyota Pro Beach East Championship, an Extreme Volleyball Professionals (EVP) National Championship, a 5th place international finish on the Norceca tour, two 9th place finishes on the NVL (National Volleyball League) and a 17th place finish on the American Volleyball Professionals (AVP). Cindy has coached with and trained with some of the top players in the game, including Olympic Gold Medalists, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.
After founding Club Beach Dig, the nation's first and now largest junior's beach volleyball club, USA Volleyball presented Cindy with the Earnest Langford Pioneer Award for her initiative and contribution to youth volleyball. Click HERE to see Cindy's interview with USA Volleyball.
Cindy also serves as the President and Co-Founder of the Equal Footing Foundation, and hopes to further spread opportunity and commitment to health and fitness via sports for youth of all backgrounds.

Kendra VanZwieten - Florida Director and Head Coach for Broward and West Palm Beach
Kendra has been a part of the BeachDig family for many years and now our Director for the whole state of Florida. She is a BCAP certified Beach Coach, and she is also still a very successful Professional Beach Volleyball Player. Kendra has also coached and trained along side Misty May-Treanor and her dad Butch. She is currently the assistant indoor coach at Broward College. Several of the BeachDig athletes that Kendra has coached are now playing college sand volleyball on schoarships!
In 2011 Kendra had her best finish ever on the Pro Tour, taking a 2nd place finish at the Malibu NVL. (National Volleyball League). Here are some more of her career highlights: 1st place 2010 CLWO, 1st place 2010 East End Nationals, 1st place 2011 Bud Light Lime 4's Nationals, 4 years in the top 5 Women's Open teams in Florida, 9th place 2011 US Open Cincinnati, 9th place 2011 Cuervo Miami, 2nd place 2010/2011 Dig The Beach Nationals. Kendra is currently ranked 32nd overall in the Pro Women's National Rankings.
Coach Kendra is also a strength and conditioning specialist, working with hundreds of volleyball players to help them acheive peak performance both indoor and on the beach.

Kimberly Latshaw-Ortiz - Miami Director and Head Coach
Kim has been the head of our Miami program since the very beginning! She has an impressive indoor career, having played four years of college volleyball on scholarships to Miami Dade, as well as, the University of South Alabama. As the team captain, she set records for the most digs and service aces in one season!
After her indoor success, she continued her career on the beach volleyball circuit winning several local championship events.
Kim's coaching career is even more impressive with years of experience both indoor and on the beach. She has coached girls and boys teams to 11 district titles, 4 GMAC Championships and 3 Regional Championships! In her first year coaching with Club Beach Dig she produced a Florida Championship boys team in their very first season with the club.
She is now the proud mother of 2 beautiful children who have already seen plenty of beach volleyball tournaments first hand! We can't wait until they are old enough to join the BeachDig team!
Coach Kim is going into her 6th year coaching with BeachDig and she is not only a valuable team leader, but also an excellent role model for your young players.

Adam Milewski - Head Coach in Delray, FL
Coach Adam has been a high level BeachDig coach for over 4 years now. His extensive indoor coaching background equally matched in the sand where he has always been one of our most popular and requested coaches.
Adam has been coaching both boys and girls volleyball in south Florida for the past 8 years. In 2009 Adam receivied the "Outstanding Coach" award from USA Volleyball. He is currently coaching indoor at Lynn University, Boomers Volleyball Club and St. Andrews high school.
Adam has also enjoyed success as a player, both indoor and on the beach, where he continues to play today.
Always the coach to go above and beyond, Adam is a great asset to the BeachDig family and has had a significant impact on so many of our players over the years. He has helped developed some of our top athletes over the years, several who are now playing sand volleyball in college.
This year you'll find Adam coaching at our Delray divsion.
Summer Weissing - Head Coach in Pompano, FL
Coach Summer has been a valued BeachDig Coach for over 5l years now. She has become a favorite with our younger players both in our summer Club program and in our off season clinics. Summer stays busy coaching with us all year round!
Summer had a stellar indoor career that started in high school where she was named one of the Fab 50 by Volleyball Magazine. Her success on the court continued into college where she was an all-star libero at Florida State University. Her digging stats were off the charts and each year she proved to be one of the top liberos in the nation.
Summer has been coaching both indoor and beach volleyball in south Florida for many years now. At the same time she is pursuing a career a sports journalist, so you've probably seen her around on TV!
Coach Summer has a huge part in developing our future sand volleyball stars, greatly impacting them from the first moment they step foot in the sand. Her patience and expereince have made her a very successful developemental coach for our younger players. Both parents and players love her and so do we!!

Shayna Munson - Head Coach in Tampa, FL
Coach Shayna Munson was raised in Temperance, Michigan. She played varsity volleyball under the most winning coach in Michigan. She was a four-time varsity starter, as well as 2-time player of the year and All-American, and graduated from Bedford in 1999.
After high school Coach Munson went on to play at Eastern Michigan University. There, she was named captain her junior and senior year. After finishing her career in 2002, at Eastern she proceeded to coach under her former coach, Kim Berrington.
After 2 years of coaching at Eastern, Munson then decided to move down to Florida and pursue her beach career where she is one of the top players in Florida.
In October (2010) Coach Munson was inducted into her high school's Hall of Fame, where she is 1 of 4 females to ever be inducted. She is also still a very active and successful player on the Pro Beach Circuit.
This will be Shayna's third year coaching with Club Beach Dig and we are happy to have her in our Tampa/Clearwater division!
Melissa Lezon - Head Coach in Jupiter, FL
We couldn't be more excited to have Coach Melissa back for her 2nd year on our elite BeachDig coaching staff!
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Melissa spent her summers playing in grass volleyball tournaments in Vail, Aspen, Steamboat as well as Denver. During the winter she would coach girls volleyball as well as play in indoor tournaments.
After living in Colorado her whole life she decided to attend school in the Virgin Islands on a volleyball scholarship where she was involved in both basketball and volleyball for the University.
Her love for beach volleyball began while living in the Virgin Islands and carried her to move to West Palm Beach, Florida and get involved in tournaments. It is here that she has enjoyed early success on both the Florida Volleyball Tour and Dig the Beach tour.
Melissa is looking forward to continuing her beach volleyball career as a player, and now as a coach for Club BeachDig in North Palm Beach!
