Cindy Phillips - Beach Dig Founder and Head Coach
Coach Cindy is a recognized leader and pioneer in the beach volleyball community. She is a BCAP certified coach with over 14 years of sand coaching experience and is also still competing as a professional beach vollebyall player.
Her pro career boasts impressive accomplishments including three Dig The Beach National Championship titles, a Toyota Pro Beach East Championship, an Extreme Volleyball Professionals (EVP) National Championship, a 5th place international finish on the Norceca tour, two 9th place finishes on the NVL (National Volleyball League) and a 17th place finish on the American Volleyball Professionals (AVP). Cindy has coached with and trained with some of the top players in the game, including Olympic Gold Medalists, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.
After founding Club Beach Dig, the nation's first and now largest junior's beach volleyball club, USA Volleyball presented Cindy with the Earnest Langford Pioneer Award for her initiative and contribution to youth volleyball. Click HERE to see Cindy's interview with USA Volleyball.
Cindy also serves as the President and Co-Founder of the Equal Footing Foundation, and hopes to further spread opportunity and commitment to health and fitness via sports for youth of all backgrounds.

The Big Guns ~ BeachDig Directors
Kendra VanZwieten - Florida Director and Head Coach
Kendra has been a part of the BeachDig family for many years and has recently taken on the role as our Director for the whole state of Florida. She is also a BCAP certified coach, she sits on the borad of directors as the Outdoor Chair for the Florida Region of USAV, and she is also still a very successful Professional Beach Volleyball Player.
Kendra has also coached and trained along side Misty May-Treanor and her dad Butch. She is currently the assistant indoor coach at Broward College.In 2011. Kendra had her best finish ever on the Pro Tour, taking a 2nd place finish at the Malibu NVL. (National Volleyball League).
Here are some more of her career highlights: 1st place 2010 CLWO, 1st place 2010 East End Nationals 1st place 2011 Bud Light Lime 4's Nationals, four years in the top 5 Women's Open teams in Florida, 9th place 2011 US Open Cincinnati, 9th place 2011 Cuervo Miami, 2nd place 2010/2011 Dig The Beach Nationals. Kendra is currently ranked 32nd overall in the Pro Women's National Rankings.
Coach Kendra is also a strength and conditioning specialist, working with hundreds of volleyball players to help them acheive peak performance both indoor and on the beach.

Capri Grotowski - Palm Beach Director and Head Coach
Coach Capri has been a top BeachDig coach for over 6 years now. She has worked with some of our top athletes both during club season and through clinics in the off season.
Capri is also currently still competing on the pro tour. After taking a season off to have her son Cayd (future Beach Dig stud), she quickly returned to the pro scene without missing a beat! She had a very successful pro season in 2011 and just recently won the Ranse Jones Classic Tournament in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Capri has many years of coaching experience both indoor and on the beach. She is currently coaching indoor for Boomers and running clinics in the sand for BeachDig until our club season begins.

Kimberly Latshaw-Ortiz - Miami Director and Head Coach
Kim has been the head of our Miami program since the very beginning! She has an impressive indoor career, having played four years of college volleyball on scholarships to Miami Dade, as well as, the University of South Alabama. As the team captain, she set records for the most digs and service aces in one season!
After her indoor success, she continued her career on the beach volleyball circuit winning several local championship events.
Kim's coaching career is even more impressive with years of experience both indoor and on the beach. She has coached girls and boys teams to 11 district titles, 4 GMAC Championships and 3 Regional Championships! In her first year coaching with Club Beach Dig she produced a Florida Championship boys team in their very first season with the club.
She is now the proud mother of 2 beautiful children who have already seen plenty of beach volleyball tournaments first hand! We can't wait until they are old enough to join the BeachDig team!
Coach Kim is going into her 6th year coaching with BeachDig and she is not only a valuable team leader, but also an excellent role model for your young players.

Heather Evans - Minnesota Director and San Diego Head Coach
Coach Heather has been a valuable new addition to the BeachDig managment team. With her home roots being in Minnesota, she was a natural fit to start managing our Club BeachDig program there. In her first season as director, she helped double enrollment and she looks forward to continuing to grow our program. Heather is also the head coach for our San Diego division where she now resides.
Heather has many years of indoor coaching experience in club, camps and at the college level. She is now in her 3rd season coaching in the sand with BeachDig.
As are most of our coaches, Heather is also competing as a professional beach volleyball player on the national circuits. 2011 was a succesful year for her on the sand as she took home two 9th place finishes on the National Volleyball League tour.
Coach Heather has also taken a big role in developing and coaching BeachDig camps and off season clinics with both juniors and adults.
